The First Company In Kerala To Accept Crypto As Payments

The crypto fever has reached Kerala! Athey Nallatha, a homegrown startup that sells homemade, fusion pickles, is the first-ever Kerala company to accept crypto as payments. You can now purchase any of their products using Ethereum, Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and DAI via their payment gateway, CoinBase.

The founders of Athey Nallatha, Hafez Raman from Kakkanad and Akshay R from Trivandrum, realised the potential of transacting in cryptocurrency early on. They have been looking at cryptocurrencies and are excited about the prospects of strong returns. They shared, “We are also going towards blockchain technology. We are building the supply chain, cutting the middlemen, and making transactions as transparent as possible for our customers.”

During the initial days of COVID, there was a lot of stress on the finances among many families. The founders wanted to stimulate the economy while empowering people along the way. Athey Nallatha is a social venture whose primary aim has always been to build employment for the needy. As such, they collaborated with 70 homemakers, including middle-aged mothers, to produce a variety of good-quality pickles. All of their products are made using locally sourced ingredients. They only use organic, natural and high-quality ingredients. Each pickle is formulated with a unique spice mix and has a melt-in-your-mouth taste. It’s so tasty that you’ll want to purchase more of it.

As a step to become big players in the market, they’ve adopted crypto as a mode of payment, apart from cards, and UPI payments. Being the first in the state to do so, they have set a precedence for others to join the bandwagon.

BTW, we will be talking about cryptocurrency and how you can benefit from this new form of investment. So stay tuned.
