5-Minute Gnanodayam With Adv. Mukundan Unni

To be an advocate, you need to work hard, be dedicated, and have perseverance and discipline. It is very rare to find a person who espouses such qualities in today’s world, especially in the field of law. In our search for an honest civil servant, we came across Adv. Mukundan Unni, a Malayali who takes pride in solving civil cases in no time.

We approached Adv. Mukundan Unni. hoping he would respond soon, but to our utter dismay, we had to wait weeks to get a personal appointment with the legend. His assistant, or we think he is, claimed that the advocate had a busy schedule ahead of him and that he had no time for petty interviews. But, we didn’t take it to heart. Rather, we were determined to get at least five minutes with him. We, therefore, did what any lawyer would do. We pleaded our case to him. After about 15 minutes of pokkifying him, we finally got a slot with him, the legendary Adv. Mukundan Unni.

We’re not even exaggerating, but in the little time we spent with him, he answered our questions while working on a case. Work ethic parjaal inganeya vendath! Anyway, before we go on and on about this trailblazer, check out our five minutes of Gnanodayam with Adv. Mukundan Unni.

If you had to state your life motto in one sentence, what would it be?

“He who would live must fight. He who doesn’t wish to fight in this world, where permanent struggle is the law of life, has not the right to exist.”

What inspired you to be an advocate?

My extraordinary skills and impeccable knowledge inspired me to take up this profession. I think the world deserves me.

You seem to be a person who is cute on the outside but dangerous on the inside. Neenga nallavara kettavara?

I know I am cute and I don’t consider myself dangerous. I am pure at heart and an absolute karmayogi.

Do you actually have associates working under you at Mukundan Unni Associates? Atho chumma oru weightinu ittadhano?

I dont like this question. I find this offensive.

We heard that Zuckerberg unscrupulously took your FB account down. Have you begun an investigation?

Zuckerberg is taking down my posts also. Seems like is a fascist, which is okay, till it’s against me.

Who is your hero – Karnan, Napolean, or Bhagat Singh?

Hitler and I.

Your name is similar to that of a Malayalam actor (Unni Mukundan) and you look strikingly similar to a Malayalm director (Vineeth Sreenivasan). Are you related to any of them?

I don’t know both of them. I don’t watch movies also. Movies are a waste of time.

Do you remember the last time you smiled in life?

I smile regularly when I see my face in the mirror. I like my smile.

In the middle of your hectic schedule, do you find time for love?

It’s hard to love human beings.

Any message you’d like to share with the youth of Kerala?

“He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future.”

One final question, nigalude toothpaste il upp undo?

Salt is the root cause of many diseases. I don’t use salt or sugar.

Answering the last question, Adv. Mukundan Unni got up from his seat, took his case file, and strutted away (in slow-motion) while we stared at him with our eyes wide open. Oh yeah, he also asked to mention that a film about him titled Mukunandan Unni Associates is hitting the theatres on November 11th. The film will be the directorial debut of Abhinav Sundar. We’re definitely booking our tickets.
