This Kerala Couple Operating A KSRTC Together Is Making The Internet Go Aww

Locals of Alappuzha find immense joy in travelling in a particular Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus operated by a Kerala couple. The driver Giri Gopinath and conductor Thara have made their way into the hearts of their passengers by providing them steller services.

Believe it or not, the couple sought out permission from the travel department to conduct operations. They invested their own money to personalise their bus service so that every passenger leaves the bus with a smile. The couple has been working in the Haripad depot for the past 10 years.

They have installed CCTV cameras, emergency switches, a music system, an automatic air freshener, decorations and an LED destination board in their bus. Every day at 5:30 AM, they begin their work, but they wake up by 2 AM to start preparing for the day.

Giri and Thara have been dating for 20 years ever since they met each other, while working in a private organisation. They recently got married during the 2020 lockdown. Both of them prepared for the state Public Service Commission (PSC) examination. Gopinath passed the test in 2007 and Thara in 2010.
