COVID has taught us that weddings need not always be Big and Fat. And perhaps, it has been a boon to many who didn’t have to spend a fortune hosting an expensive affair. But, what happens when your partner gets COVID, and you really want to get married? This couple from Alappuzha will tell you how.
The couple, Abhirami and Sarathmon S were due to get married, but Sarathmon happened to get infected with Coronavirus. The couple’s family, however, did not want to miss out on the ‘muhurtham’ timing or postpone the wedding date. The groom’s mother was admitted to the Alappuzha Vandanam medical college because she too was COVID positive.
After getting permission from the District Collector, the couple decided to tie the knot at the Alappuzha Vandanam medical college with the wife wearing a PPE kit. The wedding was done the old-fashioned way, with the groom tying the thali and the couple garlanding each other. The only difference was the outfit.

Now, that’s what you call a COVID wedding. Jokes apart, please take care your health, no matter what. Life decisions can wait, because, at the end of the day, you need a life to fulfil those decisions.
