You Can Soon Watch Thirike on NeeStream

The much-awaited Malayalam film, Thirike, is all set to release on NeeStream on February 26th. After the successful release of Nimisha Sajayan and Suraj Venjaramoodu’s The Great Indian Kitchen on the OTT platform, we are quite excited to watch Thirike. The trailer just dropped, and we want you give it a watch.

Thirike follows the story of a boy who has Down Syndrome, his younger brother and their undying relationship. The brothers get separated in their childhood. The younger brother, Thoma, therefore, goes on an eventful journey to track Ismu, who is adopted by Santhi.

The theme revolves around celebrating a person’s disability rather than looking at it with concern and sympathy. This is the first time in Malayalam cinema that a differently-abled actor, 22-year-old Gopi Krishnan, is playing the lead role. It’s a comedy filled movie and promises a fresh take. Santhi Krishna, who is well-known for her role in Njandukalude Naattil Oru Edavela, also plays an impactful role in Thirike. This will be George Kora’s directional debut, and we’re really looking forward to his cinematic perspectives.

The film is co-produced by Dijo Kurian, Ronylal James, Manu Mattamana, Sijo Peter, and Paul Karukappillil.”
