We all know who Paulo Coelho is, right? You know, the Brazilian author who has taught us about living life more than our teachers at school. This iconic novelist has become the talk of the town, and the reason will surprise you.
Paulo Coelho tweeted a picture of a Malayali’s autorickshaw, which had his name written on the back of it. Below it, ‘The Alchemist’ was written in Malayalam. I bet Paulo must have been really intrigued by it, so much that he shared it so the world could see.

The autorickshaw was seen on the roads of Kerala driven by KA Pradeep. He has read all of Paulo Coelho’s translated books and is apparently a huge fan of the author himself. He was taken by surprise when his son showed him the tweet.
In an interview with Manorama, he shared, “I was fascinated by his storytelling method. Since then, I used to grab all his books available in Malayalam. I had taken a break from my work to complete reading the books in one go. I would say Coelho is a person with a magical pen.”
Pradeep’s autorickshaw in Kochi is well-known among film directors, writers, and readers. While some people found it really absurd that he would have an author’s name written in the back of his vehicle, others found it fascinating. He has had great conversations with people because of this aspect. His ultimate dream is to meet Paulo Coelho in person.
Twitterati was all praise, and couldn’t stop feeling proud of their fellow Malayali. Have a look:
It's morning here in Kerala, and this is the first thing I saw today… Couldn't have been much better, because I started my journey with The Alchemist, glad that I'm still following it's path. Thank you for sharing this pic.— Rachel (@FathimaSantiago) September 5, 2021
PS: my twitter username suggests it😊😊
