What Does it Take to Complete 350 online courses in 90 days?

Arathi Reghunath from Kerala has made it to the spotlight for finishing 350 online courses in 90 days during the lockdown for which she achieved a world record at the Universal Record Forum (URF). While people have been trying to occupy themselves by learning a new skill, setting up new habits, or even doing things they’ve never done before, Aarti made it her lockdown goal to gain as much as knowledge as possible. Now, that’s one helluva motivation!

Aarti now has online certifications from well-known universities such as John Hawkins University, University of Colorado Boulder, University of Copenhagen, State University of New York, University of Rochester, Coursera Project Network, University of Virginia, Emory University, and Technical University of Denmark (DTU) for having completed numerous courses provided by these universities.

So who is Aarti Reghunath?

Daughter of Maliyekkal Madathil M R Reghunath and Kaladevi, Aarti is a second-year student studying MSc Biochemistry at MES College. She hails from Elamakkara in Kerala’s Kochi. When she was introduced to Coursera, an open online course provider, by her faculty, she was really keen on studying new things from the internet. In her interview with The News Express, she shared, “It was my faculty at college who introduced me to the world of online courses. There is a range of courses online. All of them vary in duration and curriculum. With the support of my college principal Ajims P Muhammed, Coursera coordinator Haneefa K G, and class tutor Neelima T K, I managed to finish the courses I signed up for within a few weeks.”

Aarti used up her free time post college to catch up with the courses online.

So, if you have ever found yourself feeling demotivated to study, just seek inspiration from this lady! If she could do it, so can you. Okay, maybe not a World Record (but, it’s possible – we have faith in you!).
