We Decoded Nayanthara’s Wedding Attire, You’ll Want To Know About It

On 9th June, our dearest lady superstar Nayanthara’s wedding pictures took social media by storm. From Instagram to Facebook, every platform was filled with warm wishes for the couple and millions of likes for their amazing photos all over. Her wedding was not just an incredible moment for all her fans worldwide but it was also a treat for all the fashionistas out there. We have to say, we loved Nayanthara’s wedding attire and all the things that came with it.

Let’s quickly take a look at how Nayanthara’s wedding attire, accessories, hair and every other detail worked together on her big day.

Majestic Vermillion red all the way

Many brides often choose red on their big day in the belief that it is auspicious and lucky. And Nayanthara wasn’t different either, as she chose a beautiful vermillion red saree.

This custom-designed attire by Monica Shah of Jade is grace, holy and class in one. Undoubtedly, we have seen our star in many bridal outfits but this was royalty personified.

The intricate designs on Nayanthara’s wedding attire are especially inspired by the carvings of the Hoysala temple along with the couple’s names engraved on it for their love and respect. This heavenly embroidered ensemble is a sight to behold. And the veil looks like a perfect piece of the puzzle, fitting sharply to complete the dreamy look.

With the saree being draped by the queen of drapes herself, Dolly Jain, the final look felt immaculate and flawless.

Emerald Eminence

What stood out the most in her entire outfit are those sparkly emeralds. We have often seen red-green combinations but this felt different. While it looked alluring, we would say that it stood on the rims between overly accessorised and adequately styled. We can have an open discussion in our comment section for sure.

We really loved how the concept of contrast shading was tried through styling. Even though the emeralds felt a bit too much, Nayanthara pulled it off as usual – LIKE A QUEEN!

A special mention to the super attractive Maangtikka that looked divine on her.

The Zambian Emerald choker, Polki-Russian Tumble Necklace, Satlada-Seven diamonds, rose cuts of Polki and emeralds made her accessories look stunning.

The heritage Polki and Cabochon Emerald Studs and an emerald and diamond Maangtikka added a spark to her overall styling.

Sleek hair

We love how Amit Thakur has styled the hair here. A sleek mid-parted hair neatly woven into a low bun with Mullapoov wrapped around it and a thick layer topped with Baby’s breath gave the hair a simplistic look. Have we seen this before? Yes. But do we love it? Yes!

We are definitely giving good grades to this hairdo as we understand the logic behind keeping it simple, stylish yet elegant so that other elements stand out and work like a charm.

The hair does justice to her overall look. So, we really approve of this safe and simple choice.

MUA understood her assignment

Celebrity Makeup Artist Puneet B Saini has done it again. We are so in love with the detailed eyes and subtle lips. It is not every day that we see such fine specimens of perfectly done makeup that look breathtakingly marvellous.

We loved the makeup so far and can’t wait to see a better close-up shot to know more details about it. Makeup is definitely a star here. It has beautifully complimented the entire attire to make them look more appealing.

We saw the handsome groom Vignesh Shivan rocking his big day in an ensemble by Jade- Monica Shah. As per Jade, “The groom, Vignesh Shivan’s ensemble resonates with the four pheras signifying Dharma, Arth, Kama and Moksha. He’s adorned in a veshti, kurta and shawl – handcrafted by the master craftsmen of JADE atelier.”

We love how the attire works for the groom like a charm and compliments him adorably.

Shaleena Nathani is a very renowned name in the world of styling. After the recent success stories of her celebrity styling in Cannes, this look of Nayanthara is on her list of hits. We love the colour theme and the elegance of this entire look. The green that stands out and compliments the red is simple yet very fascinating.

P.S: Shaleena even styled Shahrukh khan for this wedding, who is also the co-star of the lady superstar for their upcoming movie Jawan.

Wedding Designers and Wedding Planners

As commoners, we may have come across the term Wedding Planners, the term ‘Wedding Designer’ seems like an alien concept. #WikiNayan wedding designer Janaki Desai of ALTAIR really aced her game here. The wedding looks no less than a dream. Also, Shaadi Squad did a spectacular job as the wedding planners of this star-studded wedding. We haven’t recovered from the fantastic bridal and groom shots from the majestically designed wedding venue.

The walkway was bordered with flowers of subtle colours. The aerial designs with green were a great choice of shades. It highlighted the bride and groom’s attire in general. They look really amazing in the pictures too. So for this contrast colour palette, we give a huge thumbs up.

Deja Vu

When the first shot of Nayan’s wedding was out, many keen fashion enthusiasts couldn’t stop thinking about the striking similarity of her overall look with our very own Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra’s wedding outfit.

Undoubtedly, both looked gorgeous on their big days, but the resemblance was quite evident. The similar colour, the heavy embroidery works on the fabric, layered accessories and the veil with sheer and embroidered border gave a lot of similar aurae around

Every bride has the right to look as she likes on her big day so nothing matters more than their happiness and choices for the big day.

In conclusion to the #WickNayan wedding, we just want to say that we loved Nayanthara’s wedding attire and the entire ensemble (even though the emeralds confuse us a bit). From hair and makeup to the grand designer venue, everything seemed surreal and beautiful.

Wishing the couple a happy married life and lots of love from our team.
