Types Of Teachers We’ve All Had In School

Do you miss school life? More than that, do you miss your teachers?

Our teachers were people who had to do just one job – teach their students and make sure that they did the school proud. If they fell short, they would vent their frustrations by ‘torturing’ the students in various ways; emotionally, psychologically and physically. From making sure that you took permission for even moving to hitting you with a chooral vadi, these teachers have made life both miserable and worth remembering. Having said that, there were also few teachers who were too kind to throw hate tantrums. We all loved them, didn’t we?

Here are few types of teachers we’ve all encountered in our lives.

The Super Strict

Out of all the teachers in the staff room, this one teacher managed to make us do our homework on time. Only because, we’re afraid of their strictness. We’ve all murdered them in our heads, but never had the guts to say anything against them.

The Bell-Deaf

We were happiest when the school bell rang. But, some teachers never understood the concept of a bell. It almost felt like they went deaf when the bell rang. They would continue the lecture till the next teacher came in and not let us cherish the 5-minute break we would get in-between classes. The worst!

The Chill Machan

There was this one teacher who was the ‘chill’ dude among the teacher squad. He never gave students homework. Neither did he care about what others thought about him, nor did he give two shits about teaching. But, at the end of the day, he somehow manages to finish his portions on time.

The Over-Sharer

This person never kept his/her mouth shut. From explaining concepts to talking to students casually in the corridor, the Over-sharer makes everyone uncomfortable by spilling unwanted stories about their personal life.

The Philosopher

The one teacher who gives life advice is the Philosopher. This person is so full of life that his/her students would look at him/her in awe during lectures. Every chapter would be accompanied by the meaning of life.

The Caring One

We all loved the caring teacher. He/She understood what every student went through and did not burden them with excess homework or expectations. Nobody ever sleeps in their classes.

The Get Out

The only words you would ever hear from this teacher apart from what’s in the syllabus is “Get out!”. One sneeze in their class was all that was needed to find yourself out of the class. The trick to surviving their classes was to be invisible. This person’s ultimate goal was to embarrass as many as students as possible every day.

The Hottie

They say, our first crush is always the Hottie teacher. Everyone has had fantasies with the Hottie teacher. She/He was the eye-candy in the staff room. While other teachers were jealous of the Hottie’s dashing appearance, the students cannot take their eyes off them.

The Partial One

Some teachers liked picking favourites and showered them with extra attention. We would go green when the teacher would favour a student, especially after exams when marks were given.

The All-Time Favourite

This teacher would always win the ‘Best Teacher Award’ in school. After all, they were as cool as the students and that was the best trait a teacher could have. He/She was everything to us; a mother, a father, a psychologist, a trainer, and whatnot.

Who was your favourite type of teacher?
