It’s absurd how luck can change your life overnight. Sadanandan from Kudayampadi in Kottayam district was on his way to buy meat for the family when he decided to buy a lottery ticket. He causally bought the Christmas and New Year bumper lottery ticket from BG Varghese, a lottery agent. Varghese is one of the many people who supply lotteries from the Benz Lotteries Agency located in Kottayam.
Little did Sadanandan know that he was carrying the winning ticket.
On the very same day, the ticket was drawn at 12 in the afternoon. The winning ticket of the bumper lottery read XG 218582. A quick look at the ticket and Sadanandan couldn’t believe his eyes. He had won 12 crores!

Sadanandan is a painter by profession and has spent over 50 years in the field. He lives with his family in a small house. With the money he won, he wishes to pay off all his debts and make sure that his family lives a wonderful life.
Believe it or not, close to forty-seven lakh tickets were printed and sold by the lottery department in Kerala. There was surprisingly a huge demand for the Christmas and New Year bumper lottery tickets. The first 24 lakh printed tickets sold in a jiffy. Because of the increased demand, nine lakh tickets were printed which also got sold in a similar manner. A new batch of 8,34,000 tickets was printed again.
