MIMI Fish, a retail venture by Kerala Fisheries Department, is planning to launch sales outlets across Kerala. Kerala Fisheries Minister Saji Cheriyan in Kollam will launch the website of MIMI Fish son. The first phase will cover Kollam, Alapuzha, and Pathanamthitta districts.
This project is part of Kerala State Coastal Area Development’s Parivarthanam initiative. Consumers will be able to buy products from their nearest MIMI outlet or order for home delivery via the MIMI mobile app.
The range of products offered by the MIMI stores will include fresh fish, dry fish, fish curry, and fish pickles. Sources stated that there are plans to include more products on this menu in the near future. In fact, the Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (ICAR-CIFT) has also lent its support to this project.
This project will be greatly beneficial to fisherfolk and consumers and also provide employment opportunities to many as deliver persons.
