The Sthreepaksha Navakeralam Project is a Kudumbshree-based awareness campaign against dowry, dowry-related crimes, and harassment and violence against women (VAM). It has now come to our attention that Mollywood actor Nimisha Sajayan will be the face of the campaign.
Kerala Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the Sthreepaksha Navakeralam Project on December 18th at Nishagandhi Theater in Thiruvananthapuram. The inaugural program will also see the presence of Nimisha Sajayan, Minister for Social Justice R. Bindu, Minister for Women and Child Development Veena George, and Minister for Animal Husbandry J. Chinchurani.

The rising cases of dowry-related deaths and violence in the State have prompted the Government to take stringent measures to ensure mass awareness. The Sthreepaksha Navakeralam Project aims to promote grassroots level intervention to change people’s understanding of VAM. The main motive is to educate, inform, and encourage people to speak up against such crimes, especially among the youth of Kerala.
