Tovino’s Minnal Murali is slated to release right before Christmas on the 24th of December 2021. This movie, directed by Basil Joseph, has to be one of the most awaited movies of the year. For the first time in Malayalam cinema, we will see a superhero spearhead the movie. Our very own Malayali superhero!
Netflix’s Global fan event, Tadum, took place on 24th September, which was a Livestream on YouTube. Over 145 stars and 100 films and series were featured throughout the three-hour TUDUM event, including Tovino’s Minnal Murali. That’s when we got a kutty glimpse of what to expect from the movie.

The short clip saw Tovino Thomas and Basil Joseph talk about the risk they’ve taken to bring out an entertaining movie that will be loved by all. Basil did comment on the challenges a superhero movie brings to the table. But it is this challenge that pushed him to pursue its making.
Tovino, on the other hand, is excited for us to watch the movie. In fact, he said that Minnal Murali is one of the career-defining movies he has ever played.
