Mohanlal’s ‘Lucifer’ Completes 50 Days Today, Breaking Yet Another Record

It’s difficult to remember a time when Megastar Mohanlal hasn’t won our hearts. I mean, the guy has such a powerful presence on-screen that it’s quite hard to not admire him.

With Lucifer dominating the box-office now, it’s not surprising that the movie is continuously breaking record after record. The Prithviraj directional, which hit the theatres on the 28th of March, garnered much more than commendation from the Malayali audiences. And today, it completes 50  days in the theatres across Kerala.

Given the fact that Lucifer is a blockbuster (even today), it deserves a pat on the back and the line of awards that came it’s way. The recently held Mazhavila Entertainment Awards 2019 had Lucifer stockpiling awards for individual performances. Prithviraj won the Best Director Award for his directorial debut with Lucifer. You cannot talk about Lucifer without raving about it’s action sequences that smashes past all expectations, all thanks to Stunt Silva. The Indian stunt actor/director went on to win the Mazhavil Entertainment Award for the Best Action Director.

As mentioned, Lucifer, backed by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, completes 50 days of run  across 119 theatres in Kerala, making it the only Malayalam movie to have lasted this long in many theatres. Now, that’s definitely worth a mention. The movie has collected a total of 150 crores worldwide because of the overwhelming responses it has received. For those who haven’t watched the movie yet, what are you waiting for? Just a heads up – The movie will be available to stream in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu on Amazon Prime.

We’d also like to mention the excellent performances by Indrajith Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Vivek Oberoi, and Manju Warrier who set the movie with right base, and, ultimately, made it worth watching.
