He’s fun to watch. He’s inspiring. And most importantly, he’s something out of the ordinary. Say hello to Chinepaiyen, the dreamy-eyed Malaysian taking social media by storm! He has been creating Tamil and Malayalam content with the hope that one day, he would be cast as an actor in the South Indian movie industry.
Chinepaiyen rose to fame when he started to make videos in Tamil and Malayalam, languages he picked up with the help of his friends and by watching South Indian movies. He has garnered a lot of attention owing to his inherent South Indian vibe. Check out his profile on social media, and you’ll totally know what we’re talking about. He has always wanted to act in South Indian movies, particularly in Tamil movies. Something that we admire about Chinepaiyen is his persistence and the way he experiments with his own content.
We had the chance to speak with him, and we’re excited to share his story.

What do you do when you’re not making content?
I love to take the public transport and explore the city of Kuala Lumpur where I currently live.
What’s your favourite dish in Kerala and why?
Puttu & Banana, and Unni Appam! The puttu is so versatile that it can be eaten with fish/beef/chicken curry and also as a dessert! I love unni appam because I love the crunch & the banana flavour within!
What’s that one life mantra you swear by?
Never say never!
What does a day in the life of Chinepaiyen look like?
Lots of deciding between what to eat, based on my craving, affordability & portion! And lots of walking around to brainstorm ideas, and get inspirations to create new videos.
Also, I also jog if I have time in between.
If it’s a shooting day, it will be a day full of sweating, laughing, dancing, acting, singing, and swearing.
