The OTT trend is definitely here to stay. With everyone at home most of the time, various OTT platforms have become the ultimate destinations to cut some slack. The entertainment-craving creatures within us seek a sense of visual satisfaction browsing through movies or TV shows on these OTT platforms. In the light of the booming trend, Studio Mojo, the studio house which launched India’s first OTT platform iStream.com, launched an independent OTT platform called Koode. And we’re damn excited!
Koode, which literally translates to ‘With you’ in Malayalam, aims to bring content that all Malayalis love to watch to their screens. Not only will the platform provide South-Indian language-related content, but it also plans on making it a destination for influencers and content creators to build their entertainment portfolio. Radhakrishnan Ramachandran, Founder & CEO of Studio Mojo, shared, “We are bringing together ‘share-compelling’ and ‘like-attracting’ content by building a network of leading content creators and influencers in Malayalam.” He further added, “We have a team of experts – a team of senior writers and scriptwriters, who are helping us in identifying new talent. We will help these creators in their content production, scale them up and make brands out of them.”

The idea is to create a cult-watch among Malayali audiences to encourage and discover new talent. The team at Koode is following a strategic plan to bring together new collaborations. They plan on creating original content with new collaborators and curating content from social media platforms. While the app is currently free, they plan on adding a premium option – pay-per-view model – to create a strong revenue stream.
At the moment, Koode is available to download on Android devices only.
