Kerala’s Nefertiti Cruise Earns More Than 1 Crore A Month

The Nefertiti Cruise, operated by the Kerala Shipping and Inland Navigation Corporation Ltd., earns a whopping one crore in a month. It goes to say that the cruise vessel has been successful in its operation ever since its inception.

The word Nefertiti is inspired by one of Egypt’s powerful queens, who was the Great Royal Wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten. It translates to ‘A beautiful woman has come’. The cruise offers an experience of a lifetime for those who wish to explore the beauty of the Arabian sea and Kochi. It can house 200 passengers per ride, usually going on for three to five hours. They also provide an exclusive package for people who wish to book the entire vessel for rent for occasions like weddings, parties, conferences etc. Even though the Nefertiti Cruise is only allowed to explore within 8 nautical miles, it plans to expand its operations to other local destinations too.

In May itself, Nefertiti hosted 30 trips which garnered them a revenue of one crore. They anticipate profit on similar (or more) lines in the coming months as the vessel has been fully booked.

The Nefertiti Cruise has a wide variety of entertainment options for passengers to access and enjoy. They have a children’s room, 3D theatre, lounge bar, open sundeck, a banquet hall and a lot more. Many well-known personalities from India have experienced the luxury this cruise offers. In fact, to make it slightly affordable and provide amazing tourism packages, they have partnered with the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC).
