The Kerala Olympic Association is all set to kickstart Kerala’s first-ever mega multi-sporting event, famously tagged as the Kerala Games. The 12-day sporting event will see participation from sports enthusiasts across the state in 24 sports categories.
On 30th April, the inauguration of the Kerala Games will be hosted at the Kerala University Stadium in the capital city of Trivandrum. The people of Trivandrum are enthused about the welcoming sightings of the Kerala Games decoration all over the district. From 10ft to 15ft balloon figurines to Olympic Champion Neerja Chopra-inspired mascots, we’re all gearing up for this event that would set a new sporting precedent in Kerala. There are 24 balloon figurines in Trivandrum and two in each district.

Yet another interesting promotional campaign for the Kerala Games is the iconic ‘Photo-vandi’. This vehicle will feature photographs that showcase the history of sports in Kerala. It will cover the 14 districts of Kerala throughout the 12-day event and will conclude its journey on the 13th day in Trivandrum.
In an attempt to bring Malayalis together during this period, the association will be hosting Kerala Marathons across all 14 districts. The online registration for the event, as well as, the KOA expo and other cultural programmes are open now. The prices of tickets range from INR 100 to INR 5000.
