The round-shaped, fluffy, soft idlis we’ve all grown to love is no longer the same. Confused much? A picture of idlis on ice-cream sticks is making rounds on the internet, and netizens don’t know what to feel about it.
The origin of this popsicle-shaped idlis has not yet been confirmed. The only information we have is that you’ll find this dish at ‘one’ restaurant in Bangalore. It went viral when a Twitter user, BrotherToGod shared the picture of a plate with idlis on ice-cream sticks, along with chutney and sambar. There’s also a popsicle dipped in hot sambar.
Here’s the thing; we’re all about experimenting with new food trends. Earlier, we saw a person injecting Old Monk into gulab jamuns and we were astonished by the wacky combination. This newly shaped idlis, however, have gotten us two-minded. It’s definitely a playful twist but we can’t associate the shape of it to our good ol’ idlis. Let ice-creams be ice-creams and idlis be idlis, right? Some call this innovative. Some call this wastage.
Just as we’re confused about it, Twitterati too is going topsy-turvy about this, including Shashi Tharoor. Have a look!
For heaven’s sake leave it alone, Dose is already messed up with so called creativity and now u want to spoil this as well
