You will no longer find it hard to book tickets to go home to Kerala during the Christmas and New Year rush. The Indian Railways recently announced 51 special trains to Kerala during the festival period.
In a statement released by the Indian Railways, they shared that, “Apart from the special trains notified by Southern Railway, other zonal railways have notified a total of 34 services to Kerala — 22 special trains by South Central Railway, eight special trains by South Western Railway and four special trains by East Coast Railway.”
From December 22, 2022, to January 2, 2023, passengers traveling to Kerala can avail of this special service.

This smart move by the Indian Railways has opened up the potential of catering to a much-needed requirement, especially during Christmas and New Year. The holiday season just got merrier for Malayalis living outside, making it easier for them to travel to their hometown.
