In partnership with Bombay Hemp Company (BOHECO), Poonthottam Ayurvedasram retreat in Kerala has become Asia’s first cannabis wellness retreat centre in the state. Their legally-approved, collaborative initiative called ‘AyurCann: Ayurvedic Cannabis Therapies‘ aims to merge the potential of Ayurveda and cannabis to improve the body, mind, and soul. They launched their program on 15th February this year.
Bombay Hemp Company, for those who aren’t aware, is an agro-based enterprise that studies Indian agriculture and healthy living through the lens of cannabis and hemp. AyurCann brings together the benefits of ayurvedic treatments and BOHECO’s propriety cannabis and hemp-based products. Their program includes Ayurveda therapies, guided yoga sessions, and mindful exercises, exclusively designed to address eighth dimensions of health – physical, intellectual, emotional, financial, occupational, spiritual, social and environmental.
Using Ayurveda to enhance the potential of Cannabis leaf extracts has never been done before in Asia. Poonthottam Ayurvedasram retreat brings in a new specialisation of Ayurvedic practices that utilises premium blends of Cannabis leaf oils, serums, and supplements in their processes.
They have three 14 to 21-day programs, each designed to target specific problem areas such as pain, stress and sleep. The cost of these programs ranges from INR 86,000 to INR 2,000,000. The program entails Clinical Yoga consultation and practical sessions, Tantric psychology, cannabis counselling, and diet counselling.
