There’s no denying that Malayalam is one of the most fascinating languages in the world. And though all Malayalis speak Malayalam, we all speak Malayalam differently. And these differences speak for our diversity and add an extra layer of panache to our language.
So we thought we’d come out with a series of articles that celebrates these differences – ‘slang’ as they have come to be known.
We start off with Kochi. As you probably know, Kochi was a separate kingdom before till 1947 so it should not come as a surprise that there are quite a few words that are unique to Kochi. We asked around and narrowed down on the following words that Kochikaar say.
